Facebook Giveaway and Some Pictures of Vacation

Mom and I had a fun filled week with the kids.  As you know we picked up the kids in Saint Louis and headed to Holiday World/Splashin' Safari.  This is a picture of all of us in the hotel room before the kids went swimming in the pool.

This is a picture of the kids the first morning before heading out to Holiday World.  The boy child is a bed hog and the girl child usually didn't have much space to sleep, and yes this is a queen sized bed.

Mom and the kids at the gates of Holiday World with the boy child holding a map of the park.

This is the first ride we did.  The boy child really wanted to drive the cars.  I drove with the girl child and as you see mom drove with the boy child.  You like how the boy child is concentrating really hard on not hitting us :)

Just liked this picture.  They look real thrilled don't they.

The kids really liked the bumper cars.  The boy child had a lot of fun hitting his sister in the bumper cars.

If you can't tell we are all soaked to the skin.  The boy child got mom to ride on Raging Rapids eight times and the girl child and I rode on the Log Ride six times.  I finally convinced the girl child to try the swings, if I rode with her (I hate the swings but I did it because I didn't want to make the girl child scared of the swings, what we do for kids).  The girl child ended up loving the swings and I lost count the number of times mom and I rode it with her.

I also convinced the girl child to ride the Scrambler and the Octopus.  She loved it, especially the Scrambler because it tickled her belly.

This is the Log Ride and this was the last ride of the day for the boy child.  Mom didn't get a good picture of us, but the boy child was screaming in the back of the log.  I think the boy child would have been fine if we didn't go through a dark tunnel at the beginning.  He soooooooooo did not like it and when we first started all three of us were in the back.  When we got to the top of the drop the employee said one of us had to sit in the front.  Neither of the kids wanted to sit in the front so I did and got drenched.  I felt so bad for the boy child because he was crying and shaking like a leaf.  I really don't think I will get him on that ride next year.

I didn't get many pictures of the kids at Splashin' Safari because we locked the camera in the locker and once we were in the park mom and I so didn't want to walk back to the locker for it.  These are pictures of the last slide the kids did.  The top picture is of the kids coming down together in a tube and the other two pictures of the kids after they came down the tubes themselves.
I will post more pictures of the other activities we did over the next week or so.  We still have the Children's Museum, the Fair Oaks Dairy, the boy child having his hair colored and bungee jumping in the mall.

Check back with us tomorrow for I Heart Macro with Studio Waterstone.  I took some awesome flower photos last Friday, after it rained, and I can't wait to share them with you.

Have an awesome Saturday and don't forget to participate in our Facebook giveaway.
Mom and I finally got our Facebook giveaway posted.  We are giving away a pair of our enameled copper "Peace Sign" earrings.  These earrings were handsawed by mom and then I enameled them with transparent Prussian Blue/Water Blue. The earwires are stainless steel. The drawing will be on Friday July 15th. All you need to do is become a fan of our page and leave us a comment, any comment (your thought of the moment, what you would like to see us make in the future - such as a pendant type or colors used or beads you would like to see us make, whatever floats your boat). Good luck and start commenting.
