The Only Words to Describe the Nickleback Concert, "FRIGGING BEYOND BELIEF AWESOME"

Opening Song

As you all know mom and I went to see Nickleback in concert last night. It was Fan"DAMN"tastic!!!! Am I a good daughter or what? That should earn me brownie points for years to come (mom is sitting next to me gagging).

Mom and I left the house three hours before the concert started and it was a good thing we did because construction on 465 was a nightmare. We finally arrived at the concert venue and had to wait in line for about 15 minutes before they let us in, walked through a guard barrier and arrived at our seats. We were actually closer to the stage than I thought we were going to be! Mom thanked me for not buying tickets in the grass because it was almost like a mosh pit up there; mom probably would have decked somebody!

The three opening bands: Sick Puppies, Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin were good but not good enough to get mom out of her seat. The minute Nickleback started playing we were both out of our seats!!! Nickleback knows how to raise the roof, there was fire and explosions, which I LOVED! It rocks you to your core.

Nickleback was smoking hot and put on a show to remember. Which made up for the wait to get out of the parking lot and the drive home! We climbed into bed about 2 am this morning with smiles on our faces and the rhythm in our hearts.

I am attaching some photos I took and more photos are out on our Flickr site.

Our First Etsy Sale

SQUEEE!!! I am stealing words from Juls, but that is how I feel, exuberant. Mom and I had our first Etsy sale today. I am so excited that I do the happy dance every few minutes.

Of course mom is more reserved because she is worrying about the customer not liking the bowl or being disappointed in the bowl. I am excited we had our first sale. To me that is so exciting and that someone likes are stuff on Etsy.

The customer bought one of our ThumBOWLina bowls. The colors are transparent turquoise and transparent yellows and I also folded the metal before we formed the bowl into shape. It is a cute little bowl that you can put your rings in or other little knick knacks.

Mom is working on packing up the bowl now for shipment on Monday. Today is one awesome day; Nickleback concert tonight and our first Etsy sale. I told mom we need to go buy lottery tickets because we are on a roll man.
May you all have a wonderful Saturday as we are having!

P.S.
OMG! I just realized it was Shannon, from Missficklemedia, who bought our ThumBOWLina bowl. Thank you Shannon for being our first sale!

Nickleback Concert - TONIGHT

Nickleback - Verizon Center in Indianapolis

Tonight is the Nickleback concert at the Verizon Center in Indianapolis.  I bought the tickets back in Feb. for mom's birthday in March.  Mom has been patiently waiting for this day to arrive.  Mom LOVES Nickleback.

The opening acts are Breaking Benjamin, Sick Puppies, and Shinedown.  I have not heard of any of these bands, but one of the ladies at work said that Shinedown was great so I hope the rest of the bands are good too.  Though I can tell you right now mom could care less about the other bands, she wants Nickleback.

We first saw Nickleback in concert back in 2006 when the opened for Bon Jovi.  I went to see Bon Jovi and mom went to see Nickleback.  This is also the first, and only time, we were in the pit for a concert.  I am sorry, standing for 8 hours is not my cup of tea.  Though it was awesome to be that close to Bon Jovi and actually be able to see all their facial expressions and how much they all got into the concert.  It was definietly an experience I loved but won't want to repeat again.  Give me a chair to sit in and I am a happy camper.

I plan on taking photographs and posting them tomorrow.  I really want pictures of mom getting into the concert!!!!

I hope you all have a great night like we plan on having!

Happy Dance, Happy Dance - The Sun is Out

It feels like forever that we have actually seen the sun. I am so happy that I did the happy dance this morning when I opened up the garage and saw the sun. It is also great, now that school is out, that I can see the sun when I drive into work. I use to get to work before 6:00am and usually didn't see the sunlight until I went to my afternoon classes (I work in the basement, though that will soon change).

Now that the sun is out I can take all new photographs of pieces that I took on Sunday, when it was grey and overcast and started to sprinkle. Most of the photos I took aren't even worth trying to crop and re-size and post. I will work on taking new photographs tonight and post some tomorrow. I finally finished up my "Sea Foam" bracelet; mom finished up the "Two-Faced" pendant necklace, a bracelet made from copper leaves (I made) and flameworked beads (I made) because I hate doing wire work mom is kind enough to do that portion for me. Thank goodness there are different things we each like to work on or nothing would ever get done. I know I took photographs of some other stuff, but right now I can't remember what I photographed. MORE COFFEE!!!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful and sunny day!
