Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

Cloud Formations Last Night
Same night different formations

I don't know about you but I LOVE looking at the clouds.  I love trying to find shapes in the clouds and to see if mom sees the same shapes that I do.  The above pictures are from last night of two different types of cloud formations going on at the same time.  I LOVE Mother Nature, she provides a spectacular show!

Last Sunday mom and I ordered some stuff from Contenti (we get a lot of our tools from here) and from Thompson Enamel.  Well, the package from Contenti arrived.  I would have gotten a picture of the package but the camera battery died and I needed to re-charge it.  After it was charged I took photos of the stuff we ordered: a larger forming block (to form our bowls in), pumice (to clean the copper), cleaning brush, lava rock (when I solder - eventually) and a torching pan (to use after we get a torch).  Anyone know of a good and cheap torch to use to solder and to use to heat the copper so we can form it?

We received an email the other day about a news cast about art work (our bowl) being displayed in Ivy Hall to promote the art show Art on the Wabash.  We were sent the link to the news cast and you can see our bowl for about 2 seconds.  I did run over to take a photo of the bowl in the display case.  It was kind of cool to see our art work with other people's art work for everyone to see.

I think I mentioned that mom and I went to this small garden area, last Sunday, to take pictures of the flowers.  Well, I have been slowly re-sizing the images (still lots to go through) but I haven't done any touch ups because I think the photos turned out really well.  Here are some of the pictures I am pretty proud of; mom is still going through her photos so I won't post hers yet.  More photos of flowers later.  Enjoy!

  2. Oh so much to comment on! First I thought I was the only "grownup" (and I use that term loosely for me) that still looks for shapes in the clouds!

Second I love the flower pictures you have a great eye!

Thanks for the eyecandy this morning
