As you know, Mom and I are participating in the 4th installment of the
Bead Soup Blog Party. Lori has been working like a fiend trying to get all the names out to the participants so they know who their partners are. Lori sent out a mass Email Sunday night with the names list, and when I saw the list I started jumping around and dancing like a loon. I then had to call Mom and tell her. Of course, mom was already in bed. Mom said she listened to my voice mail, and I was more than just a tad bit excited, YA THINK!!!!!
Okay, without further ado...

Balanced Duality - Gallery Q and for sale on Etsy |
Our partner is Erin of
Treasures Found::Inspiration is Everywhere. Last year I started reading Erin's blog; I was a lurker. I don't think I left my first comment until Erin's Gallery Q exhibit
blog post, and I don't think I have missed Erin's blog since. A lot of times I am lurker, but there are times Erin writes something I must comment on. That post was the first of many - poor Erin :)

Verse and Vision - I have loved this piece since she
posted it on her blog. This was an inspiration piece for a poem.
I love the textures, the color and the copper. GORGEOUS!!! |
Of course, now that the initial jubilation is over, and Mom and I are still really excited to have Erin as a partner, the freak-out factor has set in. What if what we make isn't good enough? What if Erin doesn't like it? What if we don't make enough? What if it breaks when we send the package to Erin? What if, what if...

Seeking Solitude |
So, there you go, our
Bead Soup Blog Partner, Erin. Oh, this is Erin's birthday week, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL! Head over to
Erin's blog, and you can enter giveaways she is having. Yesterday she was giving away books, and today she is offering a 15% discount off anything in her
Etsy shop now through Sunday August 14th.
I'm so jealous I didn't get the mass email or anything since then either. I know Lori is working like crazy and I don't want to bother her. I'm dying to know!!! Lucky you Erin ROCKS!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment on my blog about my paper beads. They've been a work in progress for a while and I finally got them posted on my blog.

ReplyDeleteOoh, I was paired with Erin last soup. It was sooooooooo much fun! Congrats to your great and lovely partner.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with my own partner, but y'all are some lucky ducks to have scored Erin as your bead soup partner!! I can't wait to see what she sends you or what you create with it.
ReplyDeleteAwwww.. shucks! You are the sweetest! I have long been an admirer of the intricacies of your enamel work. YOu are so silly to worry! What i Love most about these challenges is that they truly are challenging. But in a good way! Thank you for the kind shout out. Sorry I was so absent from blog reading last week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!
