Okay, on with the show. These are photos I took the other day when two of my friends and I walked over to the hort park not to far from my office. It was a pretty windy day so I am pretty impressed that any of these flower pictures turned out. Enjoy!!!!
This image reminds me of a Georgia O'Keefe painting |
That is it for today. I am off to finish off the last of the oxygen so mom can order more. I think mom is still working on assemblying necklaces and once the oxygen is gone I plan on taking more pictures of the new inventory.
If you would like to participate in I Heart Macro head on over to Waterstone Studio and join along. Or you can see all the other macro shots from other great photographers there too.
You had me at *Venti Carmel Mocciato* ...lol soooo jealous!People laugh when I tell them I take 200 pictures for 20 good shots! I feel your pain.

Sounds like you have quite a job ahead of you, I thought I was the only one taking multiple shots for one I liked..seems we all do it.Love your flower shots, such lovely painted petals and big clumps of delicious stamens...truly I love macro for showing us all this beauty! Hope that coffee was good...

That lavander bloom is so dainty. I miss getting so close to flowers like this. Thanks for the wonderful photographs.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm getting the runaround from blogger as I try to post comments again. Grrrrr! so I'll try under anonymous.
ReplyDeleteLove your flower photos! do we get to see the earring pics too?
Jane Perala
love the flower photos esp the last one it looks like one tiny finger curling in. Like a child does with it's mother :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with pictures and just so thankful they're free and I don't have to process rolls of film! I agree Beth about the Goergia O'Keefe shot, beautiful and don't you just love how with macro you get to see all the tiny webs connecting the petals and leaves that you don't see with the naked eye? Good luck with the task at hand
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoying your camera and the close ups are amazing. I have been having trouble with my macro setting- it is time to get out the manual and read a little. I get better shots with the simple setting for some reason. Anyway I love that white flower with the curly yellow center. So cool close up. My favorite drink at Starbucks used to be a venti caramel machiatto too. I had to stop drinking starbucks though- it is too acidy for my tummy so I buy Dunkin Donuts Medium Roast Decaf whole beans and grind them fresh- It is really great coffee!!.
ReplyDeleteLove your flower pictures! I really like the yellow and orange daisy like flower. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the wonderful comments.
ReplyDelete@Jane - mom and I are working on the pics now. Once we have the ones we like we plan on putting a slide show together in Smilebox.
@Patty - I love my Carmel Mocciato. I don't get them often so I enjoy them while I can. This morning was great and got me through some of the bead making and assemblying of necklaces.
@Jenni - I am psycho when it comes to taking photos, I want the perfect one.
@Laura - mom and I were talking about the macro shots at lunch. How you can see every detail which you had no idea was there until you see the photos on the monitor. And I am so glad we have digital now, I don't know how we lived without digital!
@Heather - I don't know what I would do without my coffee. I usually like a large coffee from McDonald's and a coffee called Deadman's Reach from Alaska. I love Dunkin Donut's coffee but we don't have one close to us at all, so sometimes I buy a bag from Walmart.
@Kym - thanks for the comments. I really like the yellow and orange daisy flower too. I took a lot of pics of those flowers last year and I hope I can get better ones this year.
I love the white flowers with the swirly yellow centers. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI bet the walk was so beautiful with all the different flowers....did you notice the furry little stamens too? wonderful pictures!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, Beth. I have to say that the purple one is amazing! Happy editing!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow and orange flower, so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all the pretty flower photos. It's difficult to take just one shot isn't it? Lovely collection!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - beautiful colours - I just love the yellow daisy with the orange middle. Perfect!
