Focus on Life Week 19 - Hope

"I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe." Dalai Lama

This week's prompt from Sally was "Hope".
A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
Want something to happen or be the case: "he's hoping for compensation"; "I hope that the kids are OK".
noun. expectation - expectancy - expectance - trust - promise
verb. trust - expect - anticipate

The grid of the extension

I guess the big thing for mom and me in regards to "hope" is hoping that the extension we are having built on the back of mom's house will be done on time and that me moving in will be all that I hope it is.

Digging for the footers and the concrete slab

I am also hoping that the extension is bigger than it looks right now.  I keep telling myself that when I had my house built I never thought they were going to fit the three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, laundry room and living room on that slab but they did.  I just keep having the positive attitude and making sure mom doesn't freak out too much!

  1. I love all the meanings of hope you gave. I am sure you have expectations of what this new extension to the house will provide. Good luck in the building!

  2. That is hopeful indeed. We have been hoping or a start o a new house for ever so long...

  3. How exciting! Everything will be perfect!!!

  4. Hoping along with you and wishing you and your Mom a fun time in doing this project together. How lucky you both will be to be there for each other.

  5. Hope it all works out! I love the first photo on instagram this morning and thought it was so mesmerizing!

  6. Great quote from the Dalai Lama. I hope you share photos of the house extension when it's finished.

  7. Oh, I too hope it's everything you and your mom are hopinging for - it's been a long time coming and you deserve it! It is amazing tho, taking about building, how they get all those rooms into what looks like not that much space, isn't it?!!

  8. What an exciting time! I don't think you can build a house here (or an extension) without going down at least four feet - maybe it's six? Don't mind me it's just something I marvel at, the idea of sticking down a slab. I'm sure it will all come together

  9. Sounds like some good hopes- I think it looks pretty big!
