Lost Track of Days

Hey all!!  I hope you had a wonderful week.  I am just glad I survived and it is Saturday.  I sort of last track of days this week and still couldn't believe yesterday was Friday.  We are working on a system upgrade at my full-time job, that pays the bills.  We have been doing training, traveling, and testing for this new system because it is suppose to go live on Monday.  Needless to say I am all discombobulated right now.

Just a reminder that today is the last day you can sign up for our Facebook giveaway.  Just head over to Facebook and like us and leave us a comment and you will be entered for the drawing tomorrow.

Tomorrow is I Heart Macro.  Lori, of Studio Waterstone, provides us the forum to show off our photos of macro shots.  Today mom and I went over to the hort park, located near where I work.  We both took lots of flower pictures that we can't wait to share.  Don't worry, mom and I are each sharing only a few of the pictures we took so we don't bore you all with flower shots :)  The above picture is just a tease to bring you back for tomorrow.

Today mom and I are working in the studio sawing out bowls, pendants and making beads.  These are some of the pieces we are sawing out.

Here are more pieces waiting to be glued down and then sawed out.

This is a piece mom is sawing out.  We haven't decided yet if it will be a bowl or a wall hanging.

This is a photo of mom actually sawing.  I love the movement of the jeweler's saw.

This is the glass and frit I am using to make beads for this month's Art Bead Scene monthly challenge piece.

These are a pile of beads that need to be cleaned and then figure out what we want to use them for.

Okay, I am off to go and relax by working in the studio and not think about anything as I make beads or saw out something.  I hope you have a great Saturday!  Check back with us for I Heart Macro tomorrow.

  1. I resemble that first photo! And I'm so glad I'm not the only person who does the "one bead per rod" method!

  2. This week has just flown by for me too - and I haven't accomplished anything either, unlike you. I don't know if it is our lousy summer - today is raining cats and dogs - that is making me feel so lethargic, but I have absolutely no energy to do anything!
I love your macro tease picture as it is - the colours are wonderful.
